What is Google 2FA?
Google 2-step verification also called Google Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Coinlocally Account. 2-Step verification is a proven way to prevent widespread cyberattacks. Google Authenticator is a TOTP authenticator that used to log in, withdraw as well as account settings.
How to enable Google 2FA for your Coinlocally Account at Website?
- Go to Coinlocally official website and login to your account.
- Click on your [Profile] icon in the top of right corner and tap on [Security] section.
- Press [Bind] button in front of [Google Authenticator Code] option.
- Search “Google Authenticator” in App Store or Play Store and download and install the app. (If you downloaded the “Google Authenticator” app, go to next step.
- You will see your [QR Code] or [16-Digits private key phrase], please go to “Google Authenticator” and click on [+] button to import your 2FA account.
- If you [Scan QR Code] your 2FA account will automatically import to your Google Authenticator. if you choose [Enter a Setup Key], you must copy 16-Digits private key phrase and paste on [Key] box.
- Choose a name for your account for example “Coinlocally” and write it in [Account] box. Make sure that you setup your account on [Time-Based] and then tap on [Add] to complete the process.
- Back to Coinlocally website and tap on [Click to Send] button to receive email verification code.
- Also enter your 6-Digits code from Google Authenticator app into the [Google Verification Code] box . Click on [Confirm] button to complete the process.
Congratulation. Your Google Authentication has successfully enabled.
Note:
- Coinlocally will not back up your private key. Coinlocally highly recommend that you backup 16-Digits private key phrase in a security way. Please write this down and store it in a secure place. You will need this if you lose or replace your phone, or accidentally uninstall Google Authenticator.
- A Recovery Key Phrase is presented in either a QR code or a string of alphanumeric. It will only be shown once, which is at the point of enabling your Google Authenticator.
- The unique 6-digit code is valid for one use and will be changed every 30 seconds. Below is a sample of what the code will look like on your phone
- Depends on your setting changes (Password, Email, Phone number, Anti-Phishing and 2FA), for privacy and security issues your withdrawal will be suspend until next 12 hours.
- Please do NOT delete the Google Authenticator from your phone.
- For Login and Withdrawal, users are required to enter the verification code.
